From Grain to Glass

Picture
Finest Grain
We aim to source our grain as locally as possible using predominantly Voyager and Gladfield malt. For some of our traditional European beers we use Simpsons Malt from the UK.

Refined Process
Spending years perfecting our craft and increasing our brewing capacity has enabled us to continue using our original recipes.

Result
The result is a quality, well balanced beer.  No half measures, pints only!

Brexit ESPECIALLY Bitter

Style: ESB
Hops: East Kent Goldings
Malt: Simpsons Marris Otter, Pale, Oats, Carapils
IBU: 35           EBC: 46             ABV: 5.6%

This beer was first brewed in 2017, just as the final votes were in for Brexit. One of our brewers being a remain voter, was furious at the stupidity of his fellow countrymen, and decided to make a commemorative brew.
A malty rich base with floral tones from the EKG, with enough alcohol to sufficiently to numb the pain of the ordeal.
We snuck a growler of this to the UK, where it received the highest review:
"It's not half bad" - Leave voter.

TreeCroppers XPA

Style: Extra Pale Ale
Hops: Galaxy, Lemon Drop, Cascade
Malt: Pilsner malt, Vienna malt, Wheat malt, Carapils,
IBU: 25           EBC: 12             ABV: 5.6%

When you want the crispness of a lager, the fruity boldness of an IPA but the bitterness of a wheat beer. After a day up the ladder, on the tools  awkwardly delimbing some wayward gum trees, there's nothing more refreshing than an cheeky ice cold pint of XPA.

Black Betty

Style: Nitrogen Coffee Stout
Hops: East Kent Goldings
Malt: Simpsons Marris Otter, Chocolate malt, Roasted barley, Oats, ONA Coffee Beans
IBU: 30           EBC: 72             ABV: 6.7%

First made in 2018, this robust stout with creamy mouthfeel from the oats and nitrogen was an instant success. A velvety texture, bitter chocolate and smooth coffee aroma. Using locally roasted ONA black betty coffee beans we were able to achieve a heavy pint that picked you up as much as it knocked you down.
Enjoyed best in winter around a campfire, AM or PM - it's dealer's choice.

Hop-Knot

Style: IPA
Hops: Galaxy, Cascade, Chinook
Malt: Gladfields Pale malt, Vienna Pale Malt, Carapils, Caramalt, Oats
IBU: 42           EBC: 26             ABV: 6.2%

This wanky IPA is bursting with flavour, a shmack of hops on the nose with a dose of bitterness to follow.
Whether you're relaxing in a retro disco in Braddon with the Banter Brigade or gallivanting in an underground vegan crunk night in Melbourne, you've found your go to drink.
*(Also alright on the beach).

Hop-Knob

Style: Biscuit IPA
Hops: Mosaic, Cascade
Malt: Gladfields Pale malt, Marris Otter, Biscuit Malt, Caramalt, Carapils
IBU: 42           EBC: 28            ABV: 7.5%

Inspired by Mcvitie's biccies, this brew was all about the buttery biscuit base, and there is plenty of it.
A bold IPA similar to Hop-Knot, but with a more malt driven base. Plenty of hops on the nose, and the extra malts used in the base gives some extra kick to the ABV coming in at a substantial 7.5% - this beer is dangerously sessionable.

Browntown

Style: Northern English Brown Ale
Hops: East Kent Goldings, Fuggles
Malt: Simpsons Marris Otter, Chocolate malt, Victory malt
IBU: 23.1           EBC: 29.4             ABV: 5.6%

Y'alright there our kid? 0161 represented with our nod to the North, BrownTown.
Our First ever brew, A nutty Northern English Brown ale with chocolate and toffee flavours and burnt toast aromas.

Enjoyed best in winter on a cold rainy day, inside a dimly lit room with the fireplace burning.

H-18

Style: "Pacific Ale"
Hops: Galaxy, Galaxy and more Galaxy!
Malt: Voyager Pale malt, Carapils, Caramalt
IBU: 35           EBC: 21             ABV: 5.6%

This astronomical golden ale is our take on the Australian "pacific ale" style beer.
We prefer a maltier base, and so opted for a golden ale to bring through some more sweetness to the sauce. This allowed us to go heavier on the hops without overloading on bitterness, even giving whirl-pooling a crack during the hopping phase.
A summer Staple in our range.
